All commercial inspections are performed in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the Minnesota Society of Housing Inspectors.
- Buyer is encouraged to attend the inspection for an onsite walk-through with the inspector.
- Buyer will leave the property with a computer generated report in hand.
The inspection report contains information about the readily accessible areas of the property. It does not include equipment, and covers the following items:
Exterior
- Grading, drainage, walkways, driveways, siding, decks, steps, porches, patios, roof coverings, chimneys, and garages.
Interior
- Walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows and stairways.
Structure
- From the foundation to the roof.
Plumbing
- Interior water supply, water heaters, and waste disposal systems.
Heating and Cooling Systems
- Central heating and cooling systems and distribution, including exhaust systems.
Electrical
- Interior and exterior electrical wiring and fixtures. All panel boxes.
Insulation and Ventilation
